Erich Strenger

The Artistic Touch behind early Porsche Sales Literature!

Mr. Strenger was employed by the Porsche Factory in Germany to design and produce showroom sales brochures, posters and other advertising media to promote the sale of 356 Porsches. He was an artist and an illustrator. His sales brochures reflect the "modern" styles of the 1950's and 1960's, and today have become highly collectable!

The undersigned, Charlie White, a Porsche sales literature collector for  many years, met Mr. Strenger at the Ozarks '83 PCA Porsche Parade which was held in Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri in late July/early August of 1983. One of the Parade organizers, knowing that Mr. White was a 356 Porsche literature collector, and knowing that Mr. Strenger would be present at the Parade, arranged for a meeting for Mr. Strenger to see portions of Mr. White's collection, which he brought to the Parade to show.

During the meeting, Mr. Strenger and Mr. White had a long conversation, some times in German and some times in English, about Mr. Strenger's career with Porsche. During this conversation, Mr. White asked if Mr. Strenger would autograph several of the sales brochures from the collection. Mr. Strenger obliged, and signed several brochures, all of which he designed for Porsche, and all of which are presented below.
